STEM or "Savings Through Energy Management" is designed for students in grades 7 through 12. It is presented in 5 full-day sessions , one day a week over 5 weeks to a single group of approximately 25 students.

This nationally recognized, award-winning energy education effort empowers teenagers to save their school thousands of

dollars in energy costs and offers practical skills for career building. Recognized and appreciated by students, teachers, school boards and government officials alike, it's an interactive program that teaches the fundementals of energy usage in buildings through a comprehensive audit of the school. Students prepare an official audit report for school officials with recommendations for energy-saving improvements and estimated electricity and fuel savings.

STEM challenges students to exercise advanced math and science skills and motivates them to succeed.
This program received the GOLD CIRCLE AWARD from the New Hampshire Governor's office for work in done in the Merrimack and Steven High Schools in New Hampshire.

The schools saved $39,149 and $76,000, respectively, in energy costs during the first year following the program.
